Social Connector
================

First built for Laine Pub Company in 2022, Social Connector securely connects Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, preserves historical metrics and supplies consistent reporting data to external systems.

The Problem
-----------

Laine Pub Company needed to centralise social authentication, collect performance data and feed reliable reporting into LaineHub without maintaining a separate manual process for every network. The connector also needed to be abstracted from LaineHub so each social platform could review and verify it independently, and so the same service could support other clients later.

What we built
-------------

A reusable multi-client service for Facebook pages, Instagram business accounts, TikTok and LinkedIn. Saloon-powered integrations and standards-based OAuth 2.0 flows manage permissions, token refresh, reconnection and platform errors. Within the scopes approved by each network, recurring jobs collect the available profile, audience, post, reel, video, reach, impression, engagement, view, comment and advertising data and preserve historical metrics. Role-based separation covers clients, brands, venues and their connected accounts. Admin dashboards manage connections and integration health, while an API exposes consistent data to LaineHub and other external systems.

The Result
----------

Social Connector removed the need for manual cross-platform reporting and produced faster, more accurate reports from a consistent data source. Historical KPI reporting gave teams a clearer basis for campaign decisions, strategic planning and ongoing management reviews.

What the platform does
----------------------

Connects Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn accounts through managed OAuth 2.0 flows.

Handles permissions, token refresh, reconnection and platform API errors from one administration area.

Collects the account, content, audience, engagement and advertising data allowed by each network on a recurring schedule.

Preserves historical metrics with role-based separation across clients, brands, venues and social accounts.

Supplies consistent reporting data to LaineHub and other systems through an API for KPI and campaign analysis.
