As media partners, we needed to give the annual event a stronger public home while keeping the workflow reusable and allowing the look and feel to change each year. What we built ------------- A Laravel and Filament awards platform covering categories, awards, contacts, sponsors, partners, nominations, nominees, votes, winners, direct ticket sales and general event content. Industry submissions pass through admin approval and shortlisting before becoming public nominee profiles. Voting combines automated spam checks, one vote per person in each category, duplicate detection, rate limiting and manual review of dubious activity. After the event, detailed anonymised vote downloads provide transparency without exposing voters. The same underlying workflow can be reused annually while the public experience is restyled for each edition. The Result ---------- The platform attracted more votes, widened participation and increased direct ticket sales while giving the organisers one place to run the awards process. Structured moderation and anonymised post-event data also made the public vote easier to trust and explain. What the platform does ---------------------- Manages each year's categories, awards, contacts, sponsors, partners, content and winners in one admin area. Takes industry nominations through approval and shortlisting into public nominee profiles. Protects one vote per person and category with spam checks, duplicate detection, rate limits and manual review. Sells tickets directly alongside the event, nominee and partner content that drives participation. Publishes detailed anonymised vote downloads after the event and supports a fresh visual treatment each year.
